You may be thinking, “chambray for fall? I thought it was a summer staple?” Well, I’m here today to show you how you can transition your favorite chambray pieces into fall.

A long sleeve chambray dress like the one I’m wearing here is a great staple item to take you from summer to fall. In the early weeks of fall, you’ll have a chilly morning, then a warm afternoon and probably have a hard time figuring out what to wear. I know I do! This dress is a great option! The long sleeves will help to keep you warm, but the chambray fabric is light and breathable enough to keep you cooler when the day warms up.

I’ve paired this dress with neutral booties, another fall staple of mine. In the summer, I would wear this dress with wedges or some type of sandal, so the booties make for an easy fall transition.

I chose to go classic and simple with my jewelry – gold mixed with pearl. These are a few items that I also find myself wearing year round!

If you have a chambray shirt in your closet instead of a dress, don’t worry! You can easily wear it over a dress, paired with a skirt, paired with colored jeans, or styled under a sweater.
