Making Old Things New

January 4, 2019 in fashion, winter fashion, winter style

Happy New Year, y’all!

I can’t believe we are already in 2019. It seems like 2018 just flew by too fast!

As we start this new year, my goal is to try to stay more up-to-date with my blogging.  Life gets too busy sometimes 🙂

With that said, in the spirit of the new year, I wanted to share how I made an old outfit new again.  I’m not one to purchase a new outfit for each blog post – talk about expensive! I do, however, like making old things new.

For this outfit, I pulled out a sweater, vest, and boots that I’ve had in my closet for a couple of years and paired them with a pair of velvet leggings that I bought this winter.

I love how the velvet leggings dress this outfit up! They also are perfect for the winter season.

I thought the mixture of pearl and gold jewelry was perfect for this outfit.  The sweater is light metallic gold, so the soft pearl complements it nicely.

Also, talking about making old things new, how cute is this old truck?!  Family Roots, a greenhouse close to where I grew up, made this truck into something new by decorating it for the Christmas season.

Be sure to subscribe to stay up to date on new posts and see how I keep making old things new 🙂

Click the images or links below to shop similar items in my outfit!

Metallic Sweater || Vest || Velvet Leggings || Handbag || Booties 1 & 2 || Stila Lipstick – Color Vino || Earrings || Bracelets 1 & 2 || Initial Necklace || Leather Watch Band

Do you have any New Year’s resolutions or goals?  I’d love to know in the comments below!

Fun Fact:  You can see another post of mine HERE where I’m wearing the exact same sweater and vest!

xo,

Let’s take a moment to pause and appreciate how cute this set is from @champion! It’s absolutely perfect for Spring! I would recommend going one size up on the shorts because of the cinched high waist. I’m wearing a M!

It comes in 3 colors and better yet, it’s on SALE!!
