Happy Thursday, y’all! Exactly one year ago today, I launched my very first blog post! I’ve always enjoyed following other bloggers to check out the latest fashions or to find a great recipe. I never imagined that one day I would be sharing my favorite fashions and recipes with readers!
The Idea
The idea to start a blog came to me one night when my mom was visiting North Carolina. I had just gotten my wisdom teeth taken out and we spent hours brainstorming names and blog ideas. Who knew you could have good ideas while recovering?!
Behind the Name
My full blog name is Kristie in Carolina | Baking Bits & Styling Tips. I am originally from Indiana, but made my journey to North Carolina by way of Kentucky. Kristie in Carolina had a nice ring to it, and that’s what I went with! I have always loved baking and fashion (that’s my career!), so that’s where the 2nd half of the name comes from.
